'The Traitors 2': Rhea Chakraborty Says She Doesn't Want To Be A Traitor Because Of Her Personal Life Journey

Rhea Chakraborty got emotional in the latest episode of 'The Traitors 2' as she opened up about the scrutiny and trolling she has faced over the years. The actor, whose life changed dramatically following the death of her former boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020, shared why she does not want to play the role of a traitor on the reality show.

During a discussion in the fifth episode, Rhea reflected on how public perception has impacted her life and explained why being labelled a traitor on-screen would be difficult for her.

A Painful Label:

The conversation began when fellow contestant Shweta Tiwari asked Rhea why she was not the traitor. Responding candidly, Rhea said, “I don't want to be the traitor. The reason is that the world already sees me as a traitor. Do you understand? It is coming from my personal life journey. So I don't want to come on a show and willingly murder here. This will be very bad for me. People will make dirty memes out of it.”

Her emotional confession highlighted the lasting impact of the controversies she faced in recent years and how public judgment continues to influence her choices.

Speaking About Being Trolled:

Rhea further spoke about the online abuse and criticism she has endured, calling herself one of the most trolled personalities in the country.

“I am the most trolled person in the country. You all know what that means? I am not the traitor, all of you are making a big mistake. This is a distraction from the one who is a traitor. One thing about me is that I don't go with the herd and I am not easily influenced. But my personality is such that I can influence people,” she said.

Despite suspicion from some contestants, Rhea managed to stay in the game. Actress and entrepreneur Parul Gulati was eventually evicted from the episode, while Kullu, Krystle D'Souza and Shahneel Gill continue as the remaining traitors.

Seeking A Fresh Start:

Earlier in the season, host Karan Johar had asked Rhea whether she wanted to play as an innocent or a traitor. The actor made her stance clear, saying, “I want to be an innocent. Iss saal hi actually mujhe clean chit mila hain, iss saal hi logo ko pata chala hai ki mai innocent hoon. Bohot der tak shaq mein rahi hoon toh woh itna pasand nahi hai ab mujhe. Kaafi saal kar liya hai maine.”

Her comments came months after the Central Bureau of Investigation filed a closure report in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, clearing her of any charges.
