Tannaz Irani's Goa Diaries: Beaches, Long Drives And Moments Of Peace

For Tannaz Irani, Goa is more than just a holiday destination. It is a place where time slows down, worries fade away, and even work feels refreshing. During a recent visit to the coastal state for a professional commitment, the actress found herself immersed in the charm that keeps drawing her back year after year.

Tannaz was in Goa to shoot a vertical detective series and spent three days filming at some of the region's scenic locations. While the schedule left little room for leisure, the experience itself proved rejuvenating.

“The shoot for my vertical detective series brought me to Goa. I was there for three days and got to shoot at some beautiful locations, including the beach. Although it was purely work-related and I couldn't steal any time for myself, the shoot itself felt relaxing. It was a wonderful experience,” she shared.

Finding Peace By The Sea:

What makes Goa special for Tannaz is its calming atmosphere, which instantly puts her at ease. From the sea breeze to the laidback lifestyle, everything about the destination helps her disconnect from everyday stress.

“Shooting in Goa is always a pleasure. There's something about the air there that instantly relaxes you. The sea breeze and laidback vibe make you feel completely at peace with yourself. Even when you're working, it feels like a holiday. Mumbai is purely professional and you know you're there to work, but in Goa, even work somehow carries the feeling of a vacation,” she said.

For the actress, some of the best moments in Goa are often the simplest. Whether it is sitting by the beach, listening to music, enjoying local food, or watching the waves roll in, the destination offers a welcome escape from a fast-paced lifestyle.

Letting Go Of Anxieties:

Tannaz admits that Goa has become her go-to place whenever she wants to unwind and recharge.

“I visit Goa very often. I love the cuisine there. I enjoy having a drink, listening to music, sitting by the beach, lazing around, hearing the waves, and letting all my troubles and anxieties drift back into the universe and simply forgetting about them. My ideal day there would begin with waking up nice and late, heading to the beach, getting a massage, and going on long drives.”

A Destination For Every Mood:

Over the years, her idea of a holiday has evolved. Today, family time, peaceful beach outings, and cultural experiences matter more than late-night adventures. Yet Goa continues to offer the perfect balance.

“There was a time when I loved going out late, but now I'm much more family-oriented. We enjoy spending time by the beach, and the kids love listening to music. I prefer the quieter, cultural side when I'm with my girlfriends or one of my daughters, but I also love the beaches. I like a little bit of everything.”

Summing up her love for the destination, Tannaz says, “Goa, for me, is relaxing, addictive, and will always be my go-to holiday destination in India.”
