Kunal Kamra Lashes Out at Ranveer Allahbadia: "You're A Contraceptive For Creativity..."

Comedian Kunal Kamra has slammed YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia. While reacting to Ranveer's long post, he called him a “stupid guy" and asked him to stop “pretending to be the nice guy." He also called Ranveer a “contraceptive for creativity."

Ranveer Allahbadia took to his X account and, in a long note, shared, “It took my team and me 10 years to build BeerBiceps and The Ranveer Show to where they were." Recalling the Latent controversy, he added, “And in one incident, a large part of it was shaken. When the team looked to me for next steps, I found myself going back to Sant Kabir's doha: धीरे-धीरे रे मना, धीरे सब कुछ होय, माली सींचे सौ घड़ा, ऋतु आए फल होय। A simple reminder that growth takes time, and so does rebuilding."

"The Whole Comedy Fraternity Took A Hit..."

Reacting to this note, Kamra wrote, “30+ artists, including me, were summoned by authorities for being on Latent. The whole comedy fraternity took a hit because of how stupid you are. Shows were cancelled, venues pulled out, judgements made, and the pathetic shadow of your stupidity still continues to make the lives of comedians difficult. You didn't even care to understand that side."

Claiming that Ranveer is not a nice guy, Kunal continued, “Stop pretending to be the nice guy you're not. Take your cheques, lower your gaze, and be very ashamed. You're a contraceptive for creativity, stop milking this and go back to what you do best, which is being a hurdle for upward social change while fraudcasting and clout chasing…"

About 'India's Got Latent Controversy':

For the unversed, Ranveer Allahbadia was embroiled in a major controversy in 2025 after an episode of 'India's Got Latent', where he posed an offensive question to a contestant, which grabbed everyone's attention. “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?" he had asked. Though the panel, including Apoorva Mukhija and Ashish Chanchlani, laughed off the comment, it triggered massive backlash online and led to multiple FIRs against Ranveer and the show's makers. The controversy escalated when the National Commission for Women (NCW) stepped in, and Ranveer was forced to submit a written apology.
