Krystle D'Souza Reacts To Shalini Passi Calling Her A 'Vamp': "Cast Me, I'm Waiting!"

Krystle D'Souza and Rida Tharana emerged as the winners of Karan Johar-hosted reality show ‘The Traitors 2', taking home the prize money of Rs 66 lakh. While Krystle successfully managed to keep her identity as the original Traitor hidden throughout the game, the revelation came as a huge shock to Shalini Passi, who had trusted and defended her till the very end.

Shalini, who finished as the first runner-up, was visibly stunned when she learned in the finale that Krystle had been a Traitor since day one. Reacting instantly, she called Krystle and Rida “vamps” and even joked that Krystle deserved to play a negative character in films.

Shalini's Reaction Was A Compliment:

Krystle laughed it off and said, “Cast me. I'm waiting. It's a back-handed compliment. As a Traitor, we were often looked at as ‘vamps'.”

The actress admitted that the label did not bother her because it reflected how convincingly she had played the game. According to her, Shalini's reaction was purely emotional and stemmed from the trust they had built during the competition.

The Birkin Bag Demand:

Krystle also shared a light-hearted anecdote about her equation with Shalini after the show ended. Revealing Shalini's playful response to the betrayal, she said, “After the shoot, she told me that I owe her a Birkin bag (laughs). She could've never imagined that I could be a Traitor because I had very normal conversations with her. I understood that to have Shalini ma'am on my side, I would've to speak to her in a certain way."

Their Bond Was Never Fake:

Despite deceiving her fellow contestant as part of the game, Krystle insisted that the bond she formed with Shalini was genuine. “People's approach when it came to the game was different than Shalini ma'am's. Her approach was rather emotional. But my emotional connection with her wasn't fake. It was a real connect. And since we connected so well, she could've never imagined that I was the Traitor,” she stated.

Krystle further explained that Shalini initially questioned whether their friendship had been genuine but later understood her perspective. “The connection that we shared stays till date. She loves me and I love her. She wasn't close to everyone. But when you're close to someone, you would get taken aback if you learnt that the other person was lying to you all along. She started thinking that our connection was fake. I felt bad because it wasn't.”

No Hard Feelings After The Finale:

Addressing the ‘vamp' comment, Krystle said she holds no resentment. “It only shows that we did a fabulous job at it. I've no hard feelings.”

The actress revealed that after leaving the palace, she and Shalini had a heartfelt conversation. “With time, she understood that our equation was real. Once we left the palace, I messaged her and we had a very nice conversation. She told me that she was very proud of me. She agreed that she was taken aback when it was announced that I was one of the Traitors but that she was very happy for me that I won,” Krystle shared.

In the finale of ‘The Traitors 2', Mallika Sherawat was the first contestant to be murdered, followed by Dalip Tahil's eviction in the Circle of Shaq. While Shalini Passi ended the season as the first runner-up, Sahil Salathia secured the second runner-up position.
