Kris Tyson of MrBeast Comes Out as Transgender: "It's Honestly So Freeing"

YouTube star Kris Tyson, widely known as MrBeast close friend and crew member, has revealed her identity as a transgender woman. In an emotional interview with fellow YouTuber Anthony Padilla, she revealed, "I am a woman. I've been fully confident in that decision for over a year now."

"I knew I was not cisgender"

Kris embarked on this journey over a year ago, experimenting with changes to her appearance while grappling with her gender identity. "I knew I was not cisgender," she admitted. Initially considering the label "gender fluid" and reflecting on societal expectations, Kris found liberation in understanding her true self.

Earlier Speculation

The speculation surrounding Kris's appearance earlier this year prompted her to announce that she had started hormone replacement therapy. While some believed it was her way of coming out as a trans woman, Kris clarified that it wasn't then. However, in her recent interview, she proudly declared, "I didn't...yet—until today."

She'll Continue Using Kris Publically

Henceforth, Kris will be using a new name privately among her close circle while continuing to be known as Kris on the internet, embracing she/her pronouns.

Kris expressed her emotions about this revelation: "For the longest time, even saying it to my closest friends made my hands shake. I would get so nervous. But now, I can say I'm a woman. I'm happy to say I'm a woman. It's something that's honestly so freeing."

She also shared a tweet and thanked Youtuber Anthony Padilla for sharing her story. She wrote, "Thanks so much @anthonypadilla for allowing me to tell my story."
