Dipika Kakar Undergoes Infusion Amid Cancer Battle; Shares Health Update

Dipika Kakar continues to fight her cancer battle with strength and optimism. The actor, who revealed in 2025 that she had been diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer, recently underwent another infusion session as part of her ongoing treatment. Her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, shared a health update through a vlog, offering fans a glimpse into her recovery journey.

Despite the challenges that come with treatment, Dipika reassured her well-wishers that she is doing well and remains positive.

Dipika Undergoes Another Infusion Session

In a recent video shared by Shoaib Ibrahim, Dipika was seen resting on a hospital bed while receiving her scheduled infusion. Though she appeared tired, the actor greeted fans with a smile and remained in good spirits throughout the process.

Providing an update on her condition, Shoaib revealed that doctors were also administering iron through an IV after noticing slightly low iron levels during her previous check-up.

He said, "A couple of things came up. Her iron levels were a little low the last time, so they're giving her iron through an IV as well. After that, I think we'll head home in another one-and-a-half to two hours."

Dipika Says She Is Feeling Fine

Addressing her fans directly, Dipika explained that the medication given before the infusion made her feel slightly dizzy and drowsy. However, she clarified that there was nothing concerning about her condition.

She said, "Everything's good. I just feel a little dizzy because they gave me a medicine beforehand as pre-medication, which causes drowsiness. That's all. Otherwise, everything is absolutely fine."

Her calm and positive attitude has earned admiration from fans, who have been closely following her health journey over the past year.

Treatment Has Become A Routine

Shoaib also shared that this round of treatment was smoother compared to the previous one. Unlike the last session, which required an overnight hospital stay, this infusion was completed as a day-care procedure.

He said, "Last time, we had to get admitted for an entire night. But this time, we've managed to get it done as a day-care procedure so that we can reach home to Ruhaan tonight. This has now become a routine every 20-21 days."

Ruhaan's Growing Attachment To Dipika

During the vlog, Shoaib also opened up about their son Ruhaan and how he has been affected by the family's recent circumstances.

According to Shoaib, Ruhaan has become increasingly attached to Dipika over the past few weeks. He shared, "He's been getting a little cranky lately. As he's growing up, he's becoming more attached to Dipika, especially over the past month because I wasn't home, Papa wasn't home, and Dev bhaiya wasn't there either. It's just Dipika, Dipika, Dipika."

Dipika's Ongoing Recovery Journey

Earlier this year, Dipika underwent surgery to remove a tumour after being diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. In June, she revealed that doctors had detected two new cysts and advised immunotherapy as the next step in her treatment.

She has been documenting her recovery through YouTube updates, sharing both the emotional and physical aspects of her journey. With her family's unwavering support and a positive outlook, Dipika continues to inspire fans as she focuses on healing and recovery.
