Ashnoor Kaur Reveals Why The Body-Shaming Incident Hurt The Most: "I Never Wanted to Share My Story..."

Ashnoor Kaur was evicted from 'Bigg Boss 19' last week after she hit Tanya Mittal during the Ticket to Finale task. Despite being eliminated for breaking a rule, Ashnoor was widely praised by netizens for her overall journey in the house.

Ashnoor Kaur Opens Up About Body Shaming:

She faced several challenges during her stint, but what hurt her the most was the body-shaming incident involving fellow housemates Tanya Mittal and the now-evicted Neelam Giri. Opening up about the incident in an interview with Filmygyan, Ashnoor shared that she has always struggled with body image issues and was even ashamed of her insecurity. She then explained how and why she finally decided to speak about it on the show.

"The Body Shaming Thing Was Very Personal"

Asnoor shared, “I think the body shaming thing was very personal to me. Mujhe nahi laga that ki main kabhi bhi itna vocal ho sakti hu uske baare mein." She added, “I was always very quiet about this, I was actually ashamed about this. I just felt that I don't look good enough or I don't want to share my story, I don't want to share my insecurity."

However, she shared that the moment she learned about the body-shaming incident, she knew she wanted to address it, not to defend herself, but to speak to others who may be dealing with similar insecurities and body image issues.

Ashnoor was also asked to share her opinion on Malti reportedly calling her a ‘kid and selfish' as she was exiting the house.

Reacting to this, Ashnoor stated that everyone is entitled to their opinion. “I know who I am, and I don't let such remarks define me", she added.
