Bebika Dhurve Defends Shilpa Shinde After 'Jhootha Sexual Harassment Case' Confession: "She Is Brave"

Shilpa Shinde's shocking admission that she had filed a false sexual harassment case against 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain' producer Sanjay Kohli has sparked massive outrage on social media. She revealed that the case, which she once pursued during a dispute with the show's makers, was not based on actual harassment but was filed because she felt she had no other option during her dispute with the show's producers. Following her statement, Shilpa faced heavy backlash on social media, with users criticising her for the revelation. Amid the ongoing trolling, 'Bigg Boss OTT 2' fame Bebika Dhurve has extended her support to Shilpa, stating that Indian TV sets can be extremely traumatising.

Bebika Dhurve Defends Shilpa Shinde:

Bebika Dhurve commented on the promo of Bharti Singh and Harssh Limbachiyaa's podcast, which shows Shilpa Shinde speaking about her exit from 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain' and admitting that she made false sexual harassment allegations against the producer of the show. Commenting on the post, Bebika Dhurve came out in support of Shilpa, and wrote that television sets and work environments can often be mentally and emotionally exhausting, and praised Shilpa for speaking out about her experience. Bebika also mentioned that her own negative experiences in the television industry are one of the reasons she stepped away from TV shows.

Bebika Dhurve's Comment:

“Indian TV sets and work spaces can be so traumatizing.. it really deteriorates a person mental and emotional peace.. keeps you financially so drained and broke… She is a brave strong soul to speak up about it… there is a reason I dont do TV shows anymore.. reality TV is actually the best thing that happened to me," wrote Bebika.

What Did Shilpa Shinde Say?

Shilpa Shinde, who became a household name after playing the gullible character of Angoori Bhabhi, made a startling revelation about her dispute during her exit from the popular show ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!'. She said that the sexual harassment allegations she had levelled against the show's producer were false, as she said “woh jhoot tha" during a conversation in Bharti Singh and Harssh Limbachiyaa's podcast.

“Nobody knows this, I am not scared of saying the truth, and I will still say that what I am saying is a big thing maine apne producer ke upar sexual harassment ka case kar diya tha kyun ki mere pass koi raasta nahi tha, aur tab main uss main se nikli hoon settle hoke," she said.

“Tab kisi producer ne unka saath nahi diya aur maine case usi basis pe kiya, police toh seedha FIR karne ke liye yeh bolti hai aapko ganda likhna padega and I am from law background. Main aaj iske through bol rahi hoon woh jhooth tha. Main yeh aaj first time confess kar rahi hoon sach much. Phir hamari settlement hui aur jo hamari payment thi jo teen mahine baad milta tha voh clear hua," she added.

Shilpa further added that her relationship with the makers has improved over time and is now on better terms.
