3 Big Changes in Tatkal Booking-

1- No Agent Bookings for 30 Minutes:

From the moment the Tatkal window opens (whether for AC or even sleeper class), agents will be fully restricted for the initial 30 minutes.
What it means: Regular passengers will get a better chance without the agents hoarding the bulk tickets.

2- Aadhaar Linking is Mandatory:

Now, your IRCTC account must be fully linked with Aadhaar to book the Tatkal tickets.
What it means: Increased transparency and some genuine bookings from the verified users.

3- OTP-Based Authentication via UIDAI (From July 15):

Booking will require real-time OTP verification via the UIDAI from July 15 onwards.
What it means: Secure identity checks ensure reduced fraud and even more trust in the system.
