Not many people know that the Rajasthan Government is offering financial support of up to ₹50,000 for girls through the Mukhyamantri Rajshri Yojana. Popular finance influencer Atiksha Rathi recently brought this scheme to attention, describing it as a golden opportunity for those who are bringing up daughters in the state. The scheme works to empower girls by covering their education, healthcare, and development—starting from the time they are born until Class 12.

What is Mukhyamantri Rajshri Yojana?

Introduced on June 1, 2016, this scheme aims at the first and second girl child born in Rajasthan if the birth is in a government or registered hospital. It provides money at various stages of the girl's life—beginning from birth, then early education, and up to Class 12.

How the ₹50,000 is Paid

The total amount is released in six installments:

• ₹2,500 at birth
• ₹2,500 after full immunization (around 1 year old)
• ₹4,000 on entering Class 1
• ₹5,000 on entering Class 6
• ₹11,000 when joining Class 10
• ₹25,000 after passing or taking admission in Class 12
• Each step is designed to encourage continued education and healthcare.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible:

• The girl must be a resident of Rajasthan
• Born in a government or registered hospital

Must have:

• Birth certificate
• Aadhaar card
• Bank account in the child's name
• Immunization records
• School admission certificates (as she progresses)

Where & How to Apply

Parents can apply by going to the nearest Anganwadi center or government hospital. There is also an online facility via the Women & Child Development Department portal of Rajasthan.
